Art Chavez, Oregon Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Broker

For more than two decades, I have helped hundreds of Oregon families make informed mortgage and real estate decisions.

As both a Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Broker, I believe financing, home search, and overall strategy work best when they are aligned from the beginning.

My goal is not simply to help clients obtain financing or buy a property. My goal is to help them make confident decisions throughout the entire homeownership journey.

Whether you’re buying your first home, moving up, downsizing, investing, or exploring a refinance, I focus on creating a clear plan before major decisions are made.

What I Believe

Financing and real estate should work together.

Too often, buyers receive mortgage advice in one place and real estate advice somewhere else. I believe clients are best served when those conversations work together as part of a single plan.

Education reduces stress.

The more informed buyers are, the more confident their decisions become.

Relationships matter more than transactions.

My business has been built largely through referrals from past clients, friends, and professional relationships developed over many years.

A Little About Me

A Little About Me

At age five, I came to the United States from Guadalajara, Mexico. Growing up between two cultures helped shape the way I communicate, build relationships, and serve clients today.

After graduating from Washington State University, I built a career helping families navigate important financial decisions. Since 2004, that work has focused on homeownership, mortgage lending, and real estate.

I understand that buying or selling a home is rarely just a transaction. For most families, it represents one of the largest financial decisions they will ever make. That responsibility is something I take seriously.

Outside of work, my time is centered around faith, family, learning, and serving my community. Those same values guide the way I approach every client relationship.

Why I Do What I Do

Why I Do What I Do

Homeownership has the potential to change the financial trajectory of a family for generations.

I have seen firsthand how the right guidance can help people build stability, create opportunities, and achieve goals they once believed were out of reach. That is why I continue doing this work.

My role is not to pressure people into transactions. My role is to help people understand their options, make informed decisions, and move forward with confidence when the time is right.
